Laburnum trees will grow in most gardens. They have long sprays of yellow flowers that appear during May/June. Labernum waterei 'Vossii', has flowers that are exceptionally long, reaching between 10 to 20 inches. Laburnum will grow in any soil in full sun or part shade. If you want it prune the Labernum, I would recommend waiting until after it flowers and then remove anything that is dead, diseased or damaged.
