Feed the birds, tuppence a bag
I love to see Birds around the garden and this year we've been blessed with lots of robins around the place. Small birds in particular are very handy to have in the garden, they will eat caterpillars, aphids not to mention the slugs.
Having things like nesting boxes, feeders filled with seeds, peanuts or fat balls will all encourage birds to come and stay in your garden and help eat some of those nasty pests. Plus, I can do a mean impression of the bag lady from Mary Poppins if anyone's interested?
